Work's been busy this past while - it'll only get busier as it approaches the end of the year. The office closes for two weeks on the 21st Dec. I CANNOT wait. I'm not in a hurry for that time though simply cos of my learners' test.
Friday was a nice day off. The weather was stunning and hot. I didn't really sleep late - was up and about when G left for work. Went online, chatted a bit, stitched a bit, etc. Nothing too exciting. Then G left work, with his co-boss (hehe), picked me up and then we headed off to 10pin bowling. Was a fun relaxed evening - was a low scoring session with quite a few laughs! A few of us then went upstairs to a Chinese restaurant - I had my first ever sushi - salmon, avo and something else fashion sandwiches. Very strange. I think the fact that I burnt my tongue on chicken sweetcorn soup may have altered the enjoyment/taste of it but it was cool.
Saturday morning - we didn't sleep late. Jumped up and danced to the tux-shop - G collected his tux, then we went for a bit of windowshopping and met up with G's mom and pop for brunch. When we got home, we pretty much relaxed a little and then started to get ready for the wedding. You know, spiffying yourself up, etc.
My outfit was AMAZING. Fitted perfectly, the shoes and the bag matched well, I found lovely jewellery to match and everything was just funky! Put on some make-up, something I haven't done for, well, years... Was so fun! G looked gorgeous in his tux. So yum... mmmm
Then we drove to the venue... we were early, we arrived with the venue at the same time as the groom.
Went in, felt very posh, everyone looked so posh, it was fantastic! Eventually Sis and her G arrived. Was a really nice evening, good food, fun and enjoyable time. Essentially it was the wedding reception as the bride and groom (G&H) had got married in Dubai!
Awesome!
Got home rather late, all poshntired!
Sunday? I can't remember. I think we pretty much relaxed. We washed the car and just chilled.
Monday evening we rented two DVDs - 28 Days Later and Farce of the Penguins. 28 Days Later was kinda scary - weird. Imagine the place so quiet! Farce of the Penguins ... now that was... STRANGE. Rated 10 for Language, but HELL there was NO WAY that was fine for 10 year olds. It was very adult, dialogue-wise. They didn't really swear much, they just used filthy language and blatant sexual words and slang. Visuals of animals mating. Not for a 10year old that ain't! We're gonna quietly mention that to the video-shop guy! "maybe stick another label over the '10' rating and say pg16 or something' HAHAHAHA!
*sigh* my pay... it was put into the wrong account... but I managed to sort something out so that the debit orders work fine.
It's now 15:33 and I'm tired. It's been busy, and I'm tired now. This evening we're going to the shops - to return the DVDs, to get a few drinks (tis the party season a-comin' up after all!) and to pop in at the "gallery" shop to see about a quote for framing Warpony. I hope they don't charge so much that I'd have to sell any of my organs! Anyway, if that IS the case, I'm just going to have to buy a cheap-ass frame from a supermarket and stick Warpony in it. Sucks but what else can I do ;) I need all my organs, thank you very much!

When u r in Claremont again, why don't u pop across to Stadium on Main, there's a framing place upstairs ... compare the cost of the other place. There is more than 1 framing place and maybe the one in Claremont will be cheaper and then you can keep all your organs : )
