Back to (ugh!) work UGH now, after a lekker weekend.

Friday evening went with G to a party at one of his colleagues' house. Lekker braai and drinks, just had a chilled chatty time. The guy whose house it is is RATHER funny!!!

Saturday morning, went with G to do "laundry". We went for brunch with his dad to a nearby shopping "mall" and there was a petshop there so naturally I took a look at the fish and OMG THEY HAD CONGO TETRAS and OMG THEY ARE STUNNINGNGNGNGNGNGNGN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would have liked to buy them but thought "nah, Rob's going to be getting them in for me".

Then stopped by at my place and rushed over to Aquaworld. Hung around a bit cos they weren't open, which seemed strange but I thought they were closed for a smoke-break or something and I'd said I'd stop by at about 1 (it wasn't 1 yet). Then just past one, Rob (the Aquaworld guy)'s wife opens up the shop and stuff, so I go in to buy fish. The tanks look a little empty and I ask "haven't any fish come in?" (since a whole stack were supposed to be delivered the Friday). Nope, cos apparently they're closing down.

THEY'RE CLOSING DOWN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Anyway, I bought all their neons (there were only 13) and 2 HUGE glowlights (must have been there for AGES), as well as 5 (also MASSIVE) black neons which he's had in the shop for a long time (no-one's bought them). Got them to "chuck" in my big tank cos they'd be tough enough to stand any "problems" if there ARE any.

They seem 100% fine, the neons have a small bit of ich but I'm treating them. Pushed the water temp up to 30 and they seem ok with it. Boy oh boy do the black neons rush around enjoying the large tank! Man but they're HUGE too! I've kept my "old" fish in the tiny tank, they're happy enough where they are and I don't want to mix them all up yet (quarantine etc).

So now I've got to find a new fish-supplier. Think there's a largish place in Tokai, but not sure. According to the yellowpages and a colleague there's a HUGE place in Ottery, so we'll go drive around and take a look on Saturday.

Ok now I CAN'T WAIT for the weekend again.

Sunday sis, G and I went up Rhodes memorial and also walked around a bit (I've been wishing I could go lie on the grass above the freeway but it's where the animals are so it's fenced off and you can't get there). The weather was good and the view was very cool. Sat on the "balcony" and just stared out for quite a while.

My tum hurts today. I don't feel sick really, not nauseaus or anything and I hope it doesn't start... but this tum-ache isn't fun.
