I did it...

I bought the Heart Strings kit... and pillow form.  From separate websites, but YIPPEE!!

So, 2 parcels on their way to me.  I know, it's going to be a while before I actually get to DO this project, but at least I now will HAVE it, regardless of whether it goes out of distribution forever.  Who knows, maybe I've just bought THE LAST ONE ever...?

In other news, today I bought a business suit.  And, *gasp* some makeup.  So, any forthcoming interviews, I'm READY!  And, I've opened up the job-search a bit, by now fitting the criteria for receptionist jobs... so maybe I'm about to find MY PERFECT job any moment now.

Actually, I'm pretty excited because I look so POSH now hehehe... and the makeup looks quite nice.  Ok, I've only used the foundation so far, but still! Yay, hidden blemishes :-P

Oh, wait, before I sign off, I was phoned yesterday by one of the companies I went to an interview with, and who said I was a 'preferred candidate', basically to say sorry, but you didn't get the job.  Everything was fine, the lady said, but hearing my referees' impression of how well I'd suit the job... not so good.  Apparently, I don't work so well when a lot of people give me things to do at one time, and the lady said they'd rather not put me in a position where there'll be 100+ people who might give me things to do if it's just going to stress me out.

Ok, fair enough, except, how WOULD anyone at my previous company even KNOW whether I'd be ok with dealing with multiple tasks at once, when I've only ever been allowed to do ONE THING AT A TIME ever because ONLY HBBM'S WORK was ever important!!  *Sigh* but you can't say that to a prospective employer, but still.  Sucks to be 'let down' by how stupid the previous place's scenario was.  Really, I never was allowed any autonomy over my workload because HBBM's stuff really was the be all and end all of everything, and even if anyone gave me something to do, HBBM's stuff trumped it by a mile.  So anyway, one more job application for nil, but still, I'm going to keep on looking and applying.
