Aquababies!
My fish are doing ok now.
Just before I went to hospital I'd got 4 kuhli loaches and 5 rummynoses to go with my 6 neons and 9 glowlights. Lost 2 of the kuhlis, one while I was in hospital (sis took care of that in my absence) and one just after I got back. They had taken AGES to settle... ok lemme rephrase that: they were INSANE for days. Rushing around frantically frenzied hyperactive! Now the remaining two are calm, they seem to like hiding UNDER the driftwood lol, so I'm not sure if they are alive. I do keep checking on them tho!
Had a small breakout of ich just after I got back. Immediately put anti-ich drops into the tank and raised the temp (from 26/7C to 29C. It's recommended to be raised to 30 but my neons can't handle such high temps - am currently losing a neon, poor thing). The ich seems to have cleared - no white spots, not sure whether the fish have stopped trying to scratch themselves, seems so... but I'm still putting the drops in for a few more days to make sure it's gone.

On Tuesday I had an operation - a video-assisted thoracoscopy or some such thing. Basically what they did was they made three holes in my chest (between my ribs), and stuck a telescope camera in the one hole and through the other two holes proceeded to staple the top of my left lung and cut off the top bit. I had a bullae on that lung (there is evidence I have one/some on my right lung too but they won't do anything to it unless it gives problems). And something that made me laugh til I hurt (I hurt already but this made it worse LOL!)
Got my iPod on Saturday. Ok first thing: IT IS TINY. Forget checking the specs online and measuring it out with a ruler - u get no idea of just how small it is that way. Find someone who has one and ask them to show it to you. You WILL take it in your hand (you just can't resist, really, hehe) and MARVEL at it! It really is incredible.
Then: it is AMAZING SUPER WONDERFUL COOL HOW-DID-I-EVER-LIVE-WITHOUT-THIS BRILLIANT. Now I can listen to music without getting up to change CDs or shifting to use the remote (lying in bed with a sore body makes me reluctant to move once I have found a comfortable position).

Fuckers messing with your computer, making it more safe (haha read: preferable!) to download bloody music of kazaa etc than BUYING it legitimately!
Take a stand and support those sites, if only to read it and maybe email a comment or something. This is utter bullshit and must be stopped. In SA we have copy control shit too, not sure how common it is cos I can't afford to buy CDs left right and centre (as I really would love to hehe) but I have two CDs with this ISSUE - Placebo "Sleeping With Ghosts" and Coldplay "X&Y". Shit shit shit! I haven't even bothered to try the Coldplay one on the pc for fear of what it might do. My Placebo one popped up a shitty little inbuilt mediaplayer which played the crappest quality I have ever heard with the exception of a really offstation radio.
