Sunshine Island

I grabbed some time in the garden on Saturday, just long enough to cut a twig of Yesterday/Today/Tomorrow and Jasmine.  I stuck them into a glass with water, and they've been filling the whole lounge with their beautiful, therapeutic scent.  It really makes it feel summery.
I stitched a lot this weekend.  Golden Ice is looking good, I've 'edited' his forelock on the chart so I'm going to leave out the topmost part of his forelock (it makes him look like a punkrocker or something)... so he's gonna be STUNNING.  I'm so nearly done with the whole right-half of the chart, once I'm done with it I'm going to cut that half off the chart so I have less paper hanging around.  Then my aim will be to do the top left quadrant of the design so that I can cut that part off too.  The thing is, only the bottom left quadrant has a lot of stitching (nearly every block is a stitch).  Anyway, GI Joe is coming along nicely.
I hope that winter's on its way out now.  The light and brightness that comes with Spring really makes everything more happy and positive.  I understand so well the idea of 'springcleaning'... and there's a feeling of impending clearout!
Both G and I feel superamped now to start making moves, but we have to wait... gotta wait for ACS and also gotta wait til his co. change happens.  It's all too exciting.  I'm going to head-down for the next while though:  I have plenty of stitching to do, plus springcleaning (my emailboxes, my laptop, etc plus we have to finally ACTUALLY get rid of junk that's been hanging around for an age)... plus other things.  I just wish I had more time during the day... the usual 'gripe'.
I can't think of anything else to write now... I have some filing.  I have 110 days left here (72 this year).  I've now been here 5.5 years (at the end of today), and I have 6 months left.
