Yes, another post titled AAAAAAAAAAH! (or something similar)
LOCOROCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hehe why am I nuts today...
Well loads of stuff has happened the past *week*... only a week. We flew to Durban last Saturday. EEEEEEeeeeeeeeekkk... so exciting and we got to the airport and checked in - "window seat or aisle seat?" "(eeeek! :D) window please!!!"... and we end up sitting in like the only row withOUT a window. Friggin' of course, roll eyes everyone. Hehehe... but anyway, we got to Durban, it's so cool! Collected our hire-car which was about as powerful as a lawnmower. Brand new citigolf, with 30km on the clock, and superweak. We trundled out of the airport, got lost, and went around again back into the airport and out again to get onto the PROPER national road :D
Hurtled along (hey, the car was trying its best I'll have you know ;) ) through to the place we were staying. Cute place, bigger than we'd intended but they'd already had a booking for their smaller place so they moved us to this one which was still available and gave it at basically the same price as the smaller place.
AAHHH it was so nice to be on holiday. No deadlines/times to be places, getting up early (at least to be somewhere at a specific time - like work), anything. Could stay up late and sit around and have a mug of tea just whenever. Strange thing about Durban: the sun comes up REALLY early, but then it goes down super-early too. So it's pitchdark and only 6pm. And then it feels like you've been awake until 3am cos it's been dark for ages and it's only 8pm hehe. Something to get used to obviously, because everyone around there is up and about at 6am!
Heheheheheheheheheh!!!!!!!!
The weather there "sucked" according to G's family and everyone that we spoke to there, but it was still 10C warmer than at home, so no comparison! It rained and was windy and everything, but I prefer that ANY time to the damp chills of the dump(flat) we're in now.
We checked out the big mall there (Gateway), went to the beach a few times, went out to lunch and to a farm (petting farm) with G's aunt+uncle+cousin and his grandparents, went to supper at G's aunt+uncle and cousins... went to the casino & gambled a little bit (it's really not as exciting as it's made out to be LOL). Went to see the Simpsons movie! SPIDER PIG FTW! Went to see the Umgeni River Bird Park (SO COOL) and Ushaka Seaworld (but they closed early so we basically had a 5min run around the aquarium trying to see everything before they closed for some or other reason). It was so cool learning our way around everywhere, checking out where to go on the map and invariably getting there via a totally different route.
All in all a FABULOUS time! We flew back and got a window seat this time, the view was spectacular - once again I am amazed at the size of the land and just how high up we are in the plane... it's eery. Clear skies all the way til I think the edge of the Western Cape... and then the clouds started... growing thicker until it was solid. And then coming in to land, we broke through the clouds over False Bay and it was GORGEOUS! Greeny blue water with patches of shadow from the clouds. Gorgeous!
Got back on Saturday. Took P out for lunch (after fetching Dude + G's car from his Dad's place after getting picked up at the airport by G's dad... ), he'd been flat-sitting, doing DOOSTYD for us... ((((Oh, on Friday, while we were having lunch at the Casino, rental-asses phoned me looking for G, they want to put in built-in-cupboards... can they come on the 20th... ARSEHOLES! SURELY YOU CAN FUCKING WAIT 10 FUCKING DAYS?? Retards!))))
Can't WAIT... we're gonna be out of the place in 17 days (more likely to be fewer days though!)
And in other news: It was G and my 1st year anniversary yesterday! We've been together for 1 year! :D Love you, my Squishy!
G had arranged "secrets" for yesterday... he's been driving me nuts with curiosity and impatience, I've been dying to find out what they are... and yesterday I did!
He gave me a sparkly shiny little paper bag with three wrapped parcels. They had a particular order to them... so I opened the first box. It was quite heavy, and a nice rectangular shape. The kinda shape you get with boxes that contain such things as a 'user manual' hehehhehehehe. It was that kinda box! It was a PSP box!!!!!!!!!!
MAN it's so cute! So funky shiny small little big colourful (the screen is bright), LOVELy little thing!
Then onto the next parcel. Smaller... lighter. Carefully unwrapped it, and it's LOCOROCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO ADORABLE! Waited ages (ok only 2hrs 20mins but I was so excited it felt like years) for the PSP to charge, and it was about 11pm when it was done and then we loaded the stuff on it and put Locoroco in it and WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Hehe, Locoroco is too cute for words!
And the 3rd parcel? Well, that's still a bit of a secret.... all will be revealed soon!
