And again...

I'm clocking in, after over a month... almost 2 months, actually.

I look at my last post and laugh, and my mind says 'bitch please!'.

However much changed in the month preceeding THAT blog post, this past month+ has had even more change!

Firstly, I passed my driving test.

I finished working at DramaQueensland*.  Yes, I survived.  It was most anticlimactical, but anyway, no longer my problem and anyway, that place has become all but a distant, oddly amusing, memory.

I had a week's break and started at my new job.  I started learning on day 1 and haven't stopped learning.  My job involves travel arrangements, and it's one thing to learn the background admin tasks, and another thing to learn the quirks and preferences of each travel scenario.  Couple the unpredictable nature of travel with the grasshoppery style of the lady who I'm work-shadowing (and standing in for while she's on 5 weeks' leave, eeeeek!!!) and you have a very slow learning process!  Which explains why I am still learning.

My workplace is much closer to home and I have a window, with a view!  Can you believe it.  A huge step up from staring at a beige partition, I'd say!

Because of the new workplace, and not taking the bus anymore, I'm really keen to get my own car.  I want to try make a plan but then I think I have to wait until I've completed my 'probationary' period.  Sigh.  Watch this space :)

Other news:  I haven't done any stitching or anything else fun in the past age.  I'm still tired out I think, from all the learning.  The working hours are better though (even though it's such a small drop in hours, the cut in travelling time is a blessing!), so once I slot into a more stable work pattern, I think I'll have energy to stitch and play Diablo, LocoRoco, etc.  I'd also like to explore our new hometown a bit.  Take time out and go away for a weekend or something.  Who knows?  We'll see!

* not actual name. But a most fitting name anyhow!
