The past week or so has been pretty unstable, to say the least!
I had decided I wanted to jobhunt, and 'my' solicitor quitting is quite a spanner in the works. And on top of that, having to find a new house is quite a significant burden and stress. Apart from those two, I'm in the process of doing driving lessons and may well have my test in June, which isn't actually that far off.
A hell of a lot has happened over the past while, since I blogged (properly) last - last year-ish. Reading my most October blogpost saying that this house was becoming a home, it's so sad to have to find another house because, now that time has passed, the house's mold problem and extreme darkness regardless of time of day or weather has shown up. Quite hectic how lack of light can have such a detrimental effect on a person's wellbeing, but we're just not feeling very well living here.
Rigi has grown up, he's almost a year old now. Today we went to a pet supplies warehouse and bought him some new food. It's crazy expensive buying dog food, but he's so small and the food lasts quite a while so the actual weekly expense is quite low so we buy a luxury brand LOL. It helps keep him healthy and also he doesn't smell and has decent-enough breath. Bought him another Kong (this one you open and put in kibble and as they bash it around, the kibble falls out). He's not yet enamoured with it. Bought BirdNird some new toys as well because he's SUCH A LITTLE SWEETIE PIE! Last weekend I replaced one of his dowel-perches with a bottlebrush branch because it's better for their feet and nice for them to bite and chew up, and he does enjoy it. He hasn't destroyed it yet.
While out petshopping, we popped in at an Indian shop - it smelled so nice entering the shop and I felt instantly as though I was back at the sweetshop we used to frequent when visiting my gran. Loved it. I had been holding thumbs that they stocked Brooke Bond Taj Mahal tea, and VOILA! They do! I'm elated! I've wanted more of this tea ever since I finished the box I brought home from India (2005). I also bought some chips (Lays and Kurkure), and we bought some other odds and ends, like butter chicken spice mix, vada mix and sambar powder. It's going to be interesting trying 'authentic' butter chicken. It already sounds healthier than the glass-jar version we usually buy in the supermarket, because it asks for pureed fresh tomatoes. Yumyum. Tonight, however, it's sushi-night again! Can't wait... I'm so hungry. But just look: KURKURE!! Tea! Masala Magic Lay's!! "American" Style Cream & Onion (love how it's still 'new', I recall it being 'new' when I was there in 2004!)
