Travelbug!!

How is it possible that something like a travelbug can grab you so forcefully?

 

IT'S CRAZY!

 

Just browsing the tiny bit of internet we're allowed (our mailboxes), I saw a banner ad for viewing celebs' travel-wear.  And OMG I WANT TO GO ON HOLIDAY!!!!

 

I guess it's partly because of the 'eagerness' to actually move to Aus (or at least, to have some movement on our application so we can start prepping ourselves for the move), but mostly I think it's the 'without-a-care-in-the-world-apart-from-me-and-my-destination' feeling.

When you travel, you really are relieved of all mundane responsibility, and get to be responsible merely for your own travel, experiences, plans, purchases.  It's like a cocoon, of selfishness, I suppose, where nothing else matters and you feel cameraderie towards other travellers because they also are in their own cocoon, enjoying their own travel-holiday too, and you're all free to explore and experience.  The motives are the same:  experiencing something new/different.

And of course it's the newness of everything, the perspective and just plain FUN you have, exploring and learning about a place (like how things are done), and the orientation you learn, being in a new place with no inner-map to guide you.
