Ok I'm back at work, after a BRILLIANT AWESOME AMAZING WOW ÜBERSUPERHYPERWOOO weekend!!!!!!!!!!
Bla. Work sucks. Same old same old.
PLUS, I feel so tired from coughing my DAMN lungs out! I think I got a total of 3 hours' sleep the entire weekend and that's NOT cos I got up to MISCHIEF... with a cough like this, triggered every 0.4 seconds, even just TALKING is a mission!!?!?!?! The people in the other units where we stayed must have been banging their fists/heads against the wall out of sheer irritation hearing me cough each night for the entire night!
Didn't even get to move any post-boxes around... I'm sure it would have been fun to confuse someone in Lamberts Bay!
Oh and for the record: There Is Only One. Petrol station, that is. A BP garage. At least it was open and stuff, not like the one in Piketberg (phew but Piketberg smells GROSS - salt pans whatever... smelt like some really gross medical waste dump or something *pukes at the memory*.) And Saldanha Bay is um... um... well pointless. Went there, thinking ooh ahh, Saldanha Bay is Significant - it's not. Nothing there really other than strange kids who pretend to throw rocks at cars. Well, at least we can say ~we've been to Saldanha Bay~
Got sunburnt ankles from lying on the beach enjoying the sun, sand, sea for a bit too long.. but HELL it was lovely! Making sand-mosaics with the sand-"blocks" (the sand had dried thick like a desert-floor).
Had an amazing drive home, about 7 hours' drive, through gorgeous country and over ALL terrain, too! One-car-at-a-time bridges, mountain passes, normal roads, bumpy roads, potholed roads, clay roads, bumpy clay roads, and the highlight of the trip: bumpy, wet, potholed clay mountain pass road, in mist and drizzle. THAT ROCKED!!!!! No spray-on mud here!!!
Went out for supper/chilled out with some more of G's friends, met J+C and X+L (and W). Had a lekker evening, despite not actually getting a chance to say anything due to the fact I was fully occupied with The Cough. Nearly spilt hot tea all over myself too.
BE GONE, YE EVILLE COUGHE YE!!!!!
mMMMmmmmm wimpy mushroom breakfast sounds good around about now!
